Joy of Giving 2019

“Kindness in Words creates Confidence. Kindness in Thinking creates Profoundness. Kindness in Giving creates Love.” – Lao Tzu

The ‘Joy of Giving’ week organised by Hindustan International School, Guindy was a celebration of extending the Act of Random Kindness by giving gifts and articles to the less privileged members of the Community.

Students of HIS , Guindy embraced this opportunity and collected items of everyday use such as (stationery, clothes, homeware and groceries) throughout the week. These articles were donated to the nearby Orphanages and Old Age Care Centre. With this humble gesture of kindness, the students took an important step towards building strong values of gratitude and compassion.

The Middle School Students decided to spend quality time with the members of the Old Age Home as they listened and shared stories with the Seniors Members, while the other students developed a new found sensitivity towards the needs of the marginalised members of the society.
